Our treatments are water-based emulsions as opposed to oil-based ointments and are, therefore, easy to apply and remove. There are many things that can trigger problems with the scalp. Stress, illness, dietary factors, and hereditary reasons are all common.
Scalp disorders are caused by skin cells forming too fast. The epidermis, or outer, protective layer of the skin, is constantly changing. The cells begin to grow from the base layer deeper in the skin and gradually move to the surface. This is called the epidermal turnover. Normally it takes approximately 28 days for the cells to move through the skin and to reach the surface. Once there they come away when we wash.
An increase in epidermal turnover can be caused or exacerbated by abnormally high levels of Malassezia Globosa – a yeast native to us and always found on the scalp (even a healthy scalp). Problems often occur when the quantity of Malassezia yeast increases.
When the scalp is in poor condition, it can interfere with the condition and growth of the hair for several reasons. Any scale on the scalp hinders the flow of the skin’s natural oil, called sebum, over the scalp and along the hair shaft, making the hair dull, dry, and brittle. When scale is removed from the scalp’s surface, sebum begins to flow along the hair shaft, so the scalp becomes less oily, and the hair greatly benefits from this natural skin oil.

TTR Scalp cream is for use on mild to moderate scalp conditions, redness, itching and flaking. A blend of Tea Tree, Rosemary, Salicylic Acid and Piroctone Olamine (PO), this cream can be used by anyone as a regular scalp treatment and is effective at reducing oxidative stress, balancing the microbiome of the scalp especially the yeast on the scalp, it is also anti-microbial and anti-fungal. The PO that is in this cream is also substantive to the hair giving a volumising effect without weighing down the hair.

Hydrating Reconditioner is a must to soft, smooth shiny manageable hair. Using years of experience from both clinic and salon this cream provides active ingredients such as coconut and olive oil alongside Glycerin. The cream when applied to the mid lengths to ends of the hair provides hydration, strength, smoothness and shine.

Juniper Scalp Therapy Shampoo is used to wash the treatment creams as part of a treatment as well as in between treatments to maintain a healthy scalp. The ingredients clear scale, stop itching and tenderness, and improve the health of the scalp to optimise conditions for improved hair growth.
